The ICT-AAC Writing ("ICT-AAC Pisalica" in Croatian) application makes it easy to learn how to properly write capital letters (graphemes) which is not sufficiently represented in available applications. Children of preschool age often try to write letters according to the examples they see in their environment (for example, from picture books, newspapers, jumbo posters). They often remember the wrong orientation of the letter (known as mirror writing) or the wrong writing direction. Such writing taught in a wrong way is then often difficult to correct. This application is the first application intended for learning of Croatian graphemes.

ICT-AAC Language Builder

ICT-AAC Jezicna Gradilica

The ICT-AAC Language Builder ("ICT-AAC Jezična gradilica" in Croatian) is the application specifically designed to encourage morphological development of preschool children. It is suitable for children with typical language skills, and certainly for children with language development difficulties. The application enables better understanding of grammatical morphemes for plural of nouns and verbs in a visually appealing and entertaining way.

The advantage of the application is its ability to use it in different contexts (e.g. preschool facilities and family environment).

ICT-AAC What Time Is It

ICT-AAC What time is it

The ICT-AAC What Time Is It ("ICT-AAC Koliko je sati" in Croatian) application is intended for children with developmental disabilities, but also for children of typical development, to help them manage in time by displaying the duration of events in time units. Also, the purpose of the application is to enhance the connection of the number and quantity as well as it improves the understanding of sequence of events in time.

ICT-AAC Learning Colors

Učimo mjere

The ICT-AAC Learning Colors ("ICT-AAC Učimo boje" in Croatian) is an interactive application developed as a simple and motivational tool for learning colors. It is primarily intended for children with developmental disabilities, although the application may also be used by typically developing children. The application is designed in a way that aims to create a friendly atmosphere while remaining intuitive and simple to use. Another important characteristic of this application is the use of audiovisual elements that are close to children.

Application consists of four games (Color Recognition, Color Differentitation, Door Unlock, Dominant Color). Complexity of each game varies and covers different aspects of learning colors such as recognizing colors, distinguishing colors, etc. Although each game has a slightly different purpose, in conjunction they form a coherent learning platform that is both enough intuitive and interactive to captivate the players.

ICT-AAC Sprays

Prskalice

The aim of the ICT-AAC Sprays ("ICT-AAC Prskalice" in Croatian) application is to help to understand the cause-and-effect relationship by presenting simple stimuli of various modalities that are suitable for children with multiple disabilities and early childhood children. Individuals with complex communication needs find it difficult to understand the relationship between the means and the goal to be achieved. This application offers opportunities to adopt this relationship in a fun and attractive way. Items from everyday life are presented and users are encouraged to provide feedback by a sound or visual response.

MULTI-SKLAD Behavior

The MULTI-SKLAD Behavior ("MULTI-SKLAD Ponašalica" in Croatian) application is designed in a format that allows you to describe different social situations through graphic symbols or photos. Since challenging situations are specific for a particular user, the application allows creation of those situations and each segment of the situation can be accompanied by a symbol and a sound record. When describing new stories, a language that is consistent with the language understanding of the child or person for whom the description is intended should be used as well as positive statements.

ICT-AAC Little Vocals

The ICT-AAC Little Vocals ("ICT-AAC Mala Glaskalica" in Croatian) application helps mastering phonological awareness, which is one of the main prerequisites for reading. It consists of recognition of first, last or all letters in a given word. To enable the gradual learning, application tasks' difficulty varies according to the complexity of the words.

Overall, users have access to six possible "difficulties" of the game that encompasses more than 200 expert-chosen words. Each given word is represented by an image that depicts the term in question, along with a pre-recorded pronunciation.

ICT-AAC Domino Counter

ICT-AAC Domino brojalica

The ICT-AAC Domino Counter ("ICT-AAC Domino brojalica" in Croatian) application provides the children with developmental disabilities early experiences with definition of quantity and numbers in an easy and attractive way, enriched with appropriate images and sound recordings. Knowledge of quantity is one of the prerequisites for adopting the concept of number and basis for future calculation. In addition to this, the use of ICT-AAC Domino Counter goes from the use in family environment and/or pre-school institutions to use in the initial stage of math teaching in elementary schools. Although ICT-AAC Domino Counter is primarily intended for children with disabilities, the application can also be used by young children of typical development where there is no need for additional professional support.

ICT-AAC e-Gallery Senior

ICT-AAC e-Gallery Senior

This is the first application designed for adult persons developed within the ICT-AAC project. The individual needs of the user and the level of communication and speech-language development of the individual will determine the way and purpose of the application use. It is primarily designed to achieve communication needs arising from brain damage such as aphasia and traumatic brain injury. The ICT-AAC e-Gallery Senior ("ICT-AAC e-Galerija Senior" in Croatian) application contains three stories consisting of three, four and seven photos that show the sequence of everyday events and performing usual activities. The activity shown in each photo is accompanied by a written text. In addition to promoting self-expression based on the sequence of events, the application encourages recalling and creating of cause-and-effect relationships.

ICT-AAC Communicator+

Sometimes communication and language development in children does not flow quite smoothly due to various causes (e.g. autistic spectrum disorders, motor disabilities, childhood speech apraxia). In an adult population, communication may be disrupted due to various reasons such as stroke consequences, traumatic brain damage, neurodegenerative conditions, etc. The ICT-AAC Communicator+ ("ICT-AAC Komunikator+" in Croatian) application ensures the transmission of more complex language messages such as phrases and sentences in Croatian language.

The application is intended for a wide range of users for the purpose of easier, faster and more efficient transmission of messages. It allows you to make phrases and sentences using existing symbols from three non-commercial galleries (ARAASAC, Mulberry and Sclera) but also using user's own symbols or photos. The phrase can be reproduced with the existing sounds of symbols or the pronunciation that the user has recorded. With the use of user's own photos and sounds, such an application can be tailored to the individual and contextual needs of users.

ICT-AAC Memory

The ICT-AAC Memory ("ICT-AAC Pamtilica" in Croatian) application belongs to a series of applications that are used for fostering the skills required for reading in a fun and attractive way. It is often wrongly believed that mastering letters is the only prerequisite for successful mastery of reading. The concept of phonological awareness, raised through this application, is a key pre-reading skill because children, prior to formal reading lessons, become skilled in identifying, isolating and "handling" areas smaller than words.

The application is intended for all preschoolers who show an interest in reading skills, but also for those who are still in the process of identifying and allocating word letters. Application is based on the symbol usage within the user interface in the form of a network of symbols. Symbols can be paired with words according to the first letter in the word. The application is implemented as a game, most similar to popular memory games.

Furthermore, each symbol is associated with the appropriate text and selecting symbols reproduces the associated sound, i.e. pronunciation. Besides the aforementioned benefits, the application can encourage the adoption of new words and forming letter-voice associations. Depending on the individual needs and capabilities of users, the application enables various setup options (choosing background color, number of couples to show, locking etc.).

ICT-AAC e-Gallery

ICT-AAC e-Gallery

The ICT-AAC e-Gallery ("ICT-AAC e-Galerija" in Croatian) application enables users to create stories using photos. Users can assign text and audio to each photo and thus create their own stories for their kids.

Each image can be attributed with text and audio record describing the appropriate part of the story. The sound is played back by pressing the thumbnail image when viewing story. Besides viewing the existing and creating new stories, the application contains two games: "Sort story" and "Remove odd one out". In the game "Sort story" user has to sort mixed thumbnails of selected stories in the right order, while in the game " Remove odd one out" user must select images that do not belong to the story. Application settings allow user to adjust the font size and the size of thumbnails, automatic scrolling of the story and change the background color, images frame color and text color.
