PRIVACY POLICY FOR ICT-AAC APPLICATIONS
This privacy policy governs your use of the software applications developed within the “Competence Network ICT-AAC" (“ICT-AAC applications”) for mobile devices that were created by the project team within the Competence Network. The ICT-AAC applications are aimed at helping children with complex communication needs to communicate, learn and socially integrate more easily.
What information do the ICT-AAC applications obtain and how is it used?
ICT-AAC applications need to have access to the device camera, microphone and data storage. Camera access is required in order to take photographs that are used as personalized symbols, stories or similar, depending on the application. Microphone access is required in order to record the voice recording that will be used in personalized symbols or stories within the ICT-AAC applications. Data storage access is required in order to store and retrieve the photographs and sounds from the device, to be used within ICT-AAC applications. All this data is acquired and stored exclusively for your personal use and is not shared with anyone in any way through ICT-AAC applications.
User Provided Information
ICT-AAC applications do not require users to provide any information so no such information is collected.
Do the ICT-AAC applications collect location information of the device?
ICT-AAC applications do not collect any information about the location of your mobile device.
Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the ICT-AAC applications?
All the information obtained by ICT-AAC applications, by camera, microphone and data storage, is stored on your device and is not transferred from your device at any point in time. Therefore, there is no way that your information could be accessed by third parties through ICT-AAC applications.
What are my opt-out rights?
You can remove ICT-AAC applications’ access to your camera, microphone and data storage easily by uninstalling the ICT-AAC applications. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.
Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information
We do not store any of information collected by ICT-AAC applications on our servers since all the collected information is stored only on your device. Therefore, we do not perform any data retention nor management.
Security of Your Data
Your data collected by ICT-AAC applications is stored on your device and is not shared by ICT-AAC applications in any way. Therefore, this data is as secure as any other data on your mobile device.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. We will notify you of any changes to our Privacy Policy by posting the new Privacy Policy here. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
